Established in 2015, Fraser Valley Cider Company is a profitable and growing commercial cidery located in Langley and in close proximity to Surrey and Abbotsford. The cidery consists of two distinct elements: the business and the property.
The cidery business operates out of the commercial cidery facility and tasting room on the property. It currently sources apples from 9 Okanagan growers to produce 71,750 litres of 24 varieties of cider annually (2022 production). The ciders are distributed at over 150 independent retailers, direct sales at the cidery, and shipped to members of the cidery’s cider club.
The tasting room operates a licensed lounge serving cider, wine, beer, cocktails, pizza, and other food menu items. The tasting room has both an indoor and outdoor licensed dining area. The cidery has a licensed event space and mobile bar.
The Fraser Valley Cider Company has created an established and award-winning brand producing 24 distinctive, delicious ciders with excellent financial performance. New cider product lines are added each year.
The cider is produced adhering to traditional small batch methods. The bulk of production consists of 100% apple juice base cider with flavouring through the addition of fresh fruit and in-house manufactured botanicals. Small runs of speciality, bottle conditioned cider are produced to showcase the estate grown apples and premium ciders.
Fraser Valley Cider Company ciders have medalled in international competition. Among other awards, the Scrumpy cider won best traditional dry cider in the Pacific North West for 2021. In 2022 the Ice Cider won third place in the Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition - the “world cup”of cider making.offered at $4,700,000.00
